Why So Spontaneous?

This is me providing you with a quizzical people's eyebrow before heading down the legendary "Rocky Steps" as non-Philadelphian's would call them.

I used to work at a local Starbucks. And yes, out-of-towners called them the Rocky Steps.

Word to the world...they belong to a beautiful landmark.

The Philadelphia Museum of Art. Rocky just happened to have run up those steps. And you look like a douche if you run up them too.

And yes, that is an inflatable shark.

I don't always seize the moment, but when I do, I make sure it counts. I'm working towards being more spontaneous, because it's a quality that is accompanied by presence, awareness, acceptance, and confidence, all of which I strive to have more of. You only get to live once...so why not ride down the steps of a landmark on a toy meant for a pool? (Target was out of sleds. I had to improvise.)

When I'm not seizing the moment, I'm doing one of two things...attempting to relieve myself of the past or planning for the future. Both of those are hard. Seizing the moment always seems easy when it strikes.

Scrubs is my favorite show. Why? Well, I mention a few reasons why in http://myownvoiceover.blogspot.com/2010/02/my-first-post.html, but mostly because the show manages to grab all the great moments in life, whether good, bad, really good, really bad, or completely random and spontaneous.

Of course, life isn't just highlights. It's every moment that we try to make count. However, these are my highlights. :)

Enjoy the show!
